Hi Vanessa & Daniel,
Congrats on your engagement- and may I say, Daniel- I'm a big fan of your last name! I'm so happy that Kaitlin connected us and I look forward to hearing more about your wedding plans! She did fill me in on some of the basics and so far, everything sounds perfectly in line with the ideal clients I love to work with! The traditional, elegant, timeless feel is something I strive for with every shutter click- and when Kaitlin hinted that your colors are going towards green, white, navy- well my East Coast heart just loves it.
That being said, I know it’s essential that you get photos that go
beyond the typical cheesy smiles and traditional poses. To make
that happen, you need a photographer who can:
Get clean, vibrant photos that feel natural yet elevated.
Capture all of the moments, people, and details that are most important to you.
Make engaging with the camera (and photographer) an enjoyable experience.
I pride myself on being able to do all of those well.
Below is more information, 2 collection options, and links to a few more full wedding days. If you decide to book and we start planning the engagement session, I'd be happy to share links to those galleries too for location inspo, etc!
ENJOY YOUR DAY THE WAY YOU’RE MEANT TO WHILE I CAPTURE THE AUTHENTICITY OF THAT FEELING.
Mission Ranch is one of those Central Coast venues that, in my opinion, looks good in any weather. Sunshine is always lovely but I also adore the cloudy days on property and think they photograph beautifully. Either way, there are plenty of locations and during sunset, the spots right outside of the barn are super pretty and - equally as important, very close by- meaning you're not losing precious time out of your reception to travel to a sunset photo location. I can already imagine the photographs of your closest friends and family having the best time celebrating all together and wouldn't want to keep you away from that!
"Her pictures are real moments between people, and when you look at them, you can feel all of the emotions and love that she is capturing.”

“Shannon is a photographer that you can trust with the most important
moments of your life without a worry in the world.
And in fact, she made our wedding measurably more amazing just by being there.”
-Julianne
The best photos aren’t created by following a rigid image checklist or need-to-capture details. They’re created when the photographer focuses on what’s happening in the moment..
I keep my camera aimed at the beautiful, candid moments that happen throughout your wedding day and the little stories that unfold between you and your loved ones - all while keeping your priorities and needs in mind. By doing so, you’ll actually enjoy looking back at your day because you’ll remember how it felt.
If you’re like a lot of my couples, you don’t have a ton of extra time to meet or fill out questionnaires leading up to your wedding.
As a busy professional, I get it. Which is why my process is intentional and streamlined. You’ll always know what to expect, and I’ll always collect just the information I need - without all the fluff in between. With my system, you’ll have fewer things to think about, schedule, or put on your to-do list.
Rather than interrupt your moments, rush you from here to there, and treat your day like my personal photoshoot, I respect your wedding day for what it is - YOURS.
I encourage you to slow down, stay present, and intentionally take it all in. And when it comes to photos, don’t focus on me - do your thing. I’ll be there to capture the ecstatic laughs and tender tears. The result? Incredible memories of an amazing day.
Knowing photography isn’t enough. I also have an innate understanding of high-end hospitality.
So whether it’s tidying up a space, weighing in on the timeline, or reminding you to take a breath, I show up and care for you, your loved ones, and your vendor team in a way that serves your experience.
Through this approach, you enjoy a seamless, smooth, and wonderful event and have the incredible photos to remember it by.
You waited long enough for your wedding. I don’t want to make you wait forever for your wedding photos. You’ll have an opportunity to relive your day in beautiful detail as soon as possible - but not at the risk of poor quality. Download and printing rights are always included.
“She focused on the people enjoying the reception and dancing, the looks on guests’ faces during speeches, the small details that make the big day, etc. It’s been over a year, and I still cry every time I see them. She captured the magic of the day and for that, I'm eternally grateful to her.”
I want your future generations to love your wedding photos as much as you do.
That’s the power of quality
and a timeless, natural aesthetic.
Karina & Alex- one of my favorite weddings from the last few years out at the Santa Lucia Preserve in Carmel Valley. Beautiful and with an emphasis on fun and celebration, this couple was a joy to photograph! This is a great gallery to get a feel for different reception lighting styles throughout the night.
I've included full galleries so you can see more of my work throughout a wedding day.
This will always be a dream gallery for me and I heard it stood out on the site as well- If I could have planned a big wedding instead of eloping during Covid, I would have loved for it to look like this (including the fog!). Maggie & Garrett's day exuded classic, traditional, and timeless vibes. This took place in 2017 but just as easily could have been last week.
“We loved how Shannon's photography captures the littlest moments and makes everything feel elevated but natural.”
I look forward to talking with you both more about your wedding and I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have.
If you’re ready to move forward - magic! I’ll send you an agreement and a payment link for the 33% booking fee. Everything is done online to make it a seamless and quick experience.
I hope to work together!
